Italian, meaning at first attempt - is a painting technique.
Layers of wet paint are applied to previously administered layers of wet paint.
i. Visualize your composition - draw a few thumbnail sketches in your sketch books
ii. Separate ground from sky - dividing composition to give the illusion of space
iii. Begin to sketch in paint
iv. Consider temperature of color to push and pull the forms throughout the painting
v. Consider intensity of hue, low saturation, tints and tones to separate spatial fields
